Pensions: François Bayrou, architect of chaos and captain of a conclave drifting towards a predicted fiasco

Prime Minister François Bayrou clumsily attempted to salvage discussions on pension reform after stalling them for weeks. But the prospect of an agreement is slipping further away.
A full day and a long evening of discussions for... not much. Around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, the negotiators could only acknowledge their differences, despite the goodwill of the unions still present. A final meeting date is scheduled for Monday, June 23, but the prospect of an agreement, already tenuous, is fast fading.
As a reminder, the unions (CFDT, CFE-CGC, CFTC) and employers (Medef and CPME) have been working on this since the end of February...
