Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes: Gérald Darmanin expected in the region Monday and Tuesday
The Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals will be traveling to Allier (03) and Puy-de-Dôme (63) on Monday May 26 and Tuesday May 27, 2025.
Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin will be traveling to the region next week. The Minister of Justice is expected in Puy-de-Dôme (63) this Monday, May 26, and in Allier (03) the following day.
Gérald Darmanin will first travel to Riom, where he will visit the Court of Appeal and meet with the president of the Clermont-Ferrand Bar Association. He will then head to the prison, where a tour of the facility is planned, as well as a time to meet with prison staff. During this visit, the minister will undoubtedly discuss the issues of prison overcrowding, a problem facing Riom prison, like many others in France.
The following day, he will visit the Cusset Judicial Court in Allier. The minister will be welcomed by judicial authorities before touring the establishment and meeting with staff members, as well as the President of the Cusset-Vichy Bar Association and members of the Bar Council.
