Cervia, music under the stars. Tonight, Cristiano De Andrè. Tomorrow, Fiorella Mannoia.

July 27, 2025

Two concerts close the Summer Live Festival: the son of the great Faber and one of the most beautiful voices in Italy, accompanied by the orchestra.
A double-header of Italian music , today and tomorrow evening, in Piazza Garibaldi in Cervia , first with Cristiano De Andrè , then with Fiorella Mannoia . Cristiano De Andrè, the only true heir to his father Fabrizio's exceptional musical legacy, recounts it song by song, drawing on the Genoese singer-songwriter's immense repertoire.
The son of the unforgettable Fabrizio, who already accompanied and played with his father before his untimely passing, is performing concerts throughout Italy with 'De Andrè sings De Andrè best of summer 2025,' a tribute to Fabrizio De Andrè and his songs, etched in the collective memory and still extremely relevant today. A summer spent touring the country, following the huge success of the four albums that give the tour its title and the numerous sold-out performances at every stop on the theater tour. "With 'The best of live tour'," Cristiano De Andrè himself explains, "I'm bringing to the stage some live songs that I rearranged for the four 'De André canta De Andrè' albums dedicated to my father. I've chosen the best, in my opinion, of these reinterpretations: meticulous work, done with great attention, love, and respect. My father wanted to do a new tour, after the 'Anime salve' one, with new arrangements for his songs, and he thought he'd entrust me with the task of doing it. I was already working on it, we were still touring together, but then, unfortunately, what we know happened. A few years after his passing, I decided to carry on with his wish, and with musicians like Luciano Luisi, Max Marcolini, and Stefano Melone, I completely rearranged and recorded live on various tours, about forty of his songs, releasing them on four albums that I titled 'De Andrè canta De Andrè'. It seemed right to me, and still seems natural to me today, to sing about my father, to also give the new generations the chance to hear his works live again."
Tomorrow evening, Piazza Garibaldi will once again host the fantastic voice and distinctive personality of Fiorella Mannoia in "Fiorella Sinfonica - Live with Orchestra," the only stop in Emilia-Romagna on her summer tour, performed under the starry skies of outdoor venues. Accompanied once again by the Saverio Mercadante Symphony Orchestra of Altamura, conducted by Maestro Rocco De Bernardis, Fiorella Mannoia's powerful voice meets orchestral arrangements of her greatest hits. The setlist will also include more recent songs such as "Disobbedire," the title single from her new album, released on November 29th.
The album features nine songs—some of which Fiorella herself composed—that blend love and awareness, hope and protest, and in which music speaks for cultural and social commitment. It will be a crescendo of performances, with Mannoia's classics "Quello che le donne non dicono" and the magical "Il cielo d'Irlanda" presumably concluding the evening in Cervia.
