Google Vids without Gemini for everyoneGoogle Vids will be available in Google Workspace starting in early November 2024. This requires an Enterprise or Education subscription. It is also available with the Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra plans. Support for Veo 3 , the latest video generation model, has been added since early June.
Google Vids has over a million active monthly users. This number is sure to grow in the coming weeks because the tool is now freely accessible to everyone . However, the basic version of the editor lacks Gemini 's AI features. It does include stock content (images, videos, music, sound effects, GIFs, and stickers), templates, fonts, and shapes.
Three new AI features are available for subscribers. The first uses Veo 3 itself. Users can generate an 8-second video with audio from an image and a text description.
You can also use one of 12 AI avatars to deliver a message. The avatar will "read" the text you enter by lip-syncing to the words. You can't generate an avatar of yourself, as you can on Zoom (a feature used by Klarna's CEO ).
Finally , automatic transcription trimming is available. Just click on the words you want to delete in the text and Vids will automatically edit the video.
More features are coming in the future, including noise cancellation, backgrounds, filters, and aspect ratios (landscape, portrait, and square).
