He kills his wife, alerts the police and then shoots himself

He first shot his wife, killing her in their home. Then he alerted law enforcement of the femicide and shot himself. A murder-suicide occurred Tuesday afternoon on the outskirts of Pisa. The killer is Alessandro Gazzoli, 50, a former security guard. The victim was named Samantha Del Grappa, 45. The man reportedly called 112 to alert the emergency services of the murder before committing suicide. Shortly after 3:00 PM, forensic police arrived on the scene and seized the man's service pistol, the murder weapon.
