Giant Andrija Novakovich is one step away from wearing the Granata jersey. Sporting director Fracchiolla has the 193cm Cuirassier in his pocket, who will bolster a department that currently boasts only Gondo (and the young Cavaliere) with the qualities of a "structured" striker. For the Serbian-American born in 1996, this is a rekindled passion of sorts. In the summer of 2023, he was already very close to joining Reggiana at the request of coach Nesta (who had worked with him and appreciated him at Frosinone). However, then-director Goretti preferred to make other choices (focusing on Gondo and Pettinari), and the one who secured him was none other than – ironically – the current Granata sporting director, who was at Lecco at the time. 'Novak' is coming off a season with more shadows than lights at Bari (3 goals and 2 assists in 28 appearances), but he has the right characteristics for Dionigi's requests.

The manager wants a striker who—in addition to attacking the depth—can also act as a 'buoy' and support the team both in possession and out of possession. Negotiations with Venezia (who own his contract) are at an advanced stage, and the final details regarding his salary are being ironed out. The Wisconsin-born striker is expected to arrive on a permanent deal, but what matters most is that he will certainly provide a capable and experienced alternative. In addition to the Venetian giant, sporting director Fracchiolla is also keeping an eye on Cremonese .

Tsadjout (also being explored by Entella and Pescara) and right-back Sernicola are under scrutiny. In both cases, however, the Lombardy club would have to contribute significantly to his wages, and that's likely where the deal will be decided. It's certainly easier to close the deal on Missori, who is leaving Sassuolo and is expected to arrive on a year-long loan.

The Neroverdi didn't call him up for their last Coppa Italia match, and this seems to be a further sign of openness to his move to the Granata. If the 2004-born player were to arrive, Reggiana would have a full roster on the right, and at that point Sernicola's chances would also be on the decline.

Among the possible alternatives is also Ali Dembelè, a talented 2004-born player owned by Torino. However, everything points to a deal for Missori, which would put an end to a soap opera that's been going on for over a month. Then, in the final four or five days of the transfer window, the team will focus on finalizing the squad with a couple of last-minute signings.
