Tajani welcomes six children from Gaza to Ciampino

FIUMICINO-ISOLA SACRA, AUGUST 14 - As part of Italy's humanitarian operations to help the civilian population of Gaza, a group of six children in need of medical care arrived at Rome Ciampino Airport at 11:23 PM yesterday aboard an Italian Air Force C-130. Awaiting the arrival of the humanitarian flight were Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Imam Salameh Ashour. Ambulances were also on site to transport the young patients to hospitals in Rome (three to Bambino Gesù), Naples (two to Santobono), and Perugia (one to the Azienda Ospedaliera). "It is important to continue supporting the Palestinian population. It is important for us to continue helping those who suffer and providing treatment to those in need in our country," Tajani stated.
