Vuelta: Gaudu wins in Ceres, leaving Vingegaard in red

TURIN (ITALPRESS) – David Gaudu won the third stage of the 2025 Vuelta a España, the 134.6-kilometer San Maurizio Canavese-Ceres, the last to finish on Italian soil. The French cyclist from Groupama-Fdj, winner of two stages of the red race in 2020, prevailed in the final sprint, beating Danes Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek) and Jonas Vingegaard (Team Visma Lease a Bike).

The latter confirmed his overall lead, with the same overall time as Gaudu, and retained the red jersey. Third overall was Italian Giulio Ciccone (Lidl-Trek), who finished fourth today. Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers) also failed to secure a place on this stage, finishing 34th. Tomorrow sees the fourth stage, the 206.7-kilometer Susa-Voiron.
