Get ready for the 8th edition of the Pet Carpet Film Festival, the international film festival dedicated to the animal world—from pets to wild animals —which from Wednesday, September 24th to Sunday, September 28th, will bring stories of friendship, rescue, and respect between humans and animals to the big screen. Conceived and directed by Federica Rinaudo, the event combines culture, entertainment, and awareness, finding the universal language of cinema as the most direct way to speak to people's hearts.
At the heart of this edition will also be the official promotion of “Zampa sul cuore”, the song by Ivana Tram - a well-known Italian drag queen who has always been involved in charitable initiatives to help animals in difficulty -, whose cover is designed by the Prato-based artist Max Torri Arte , and portrays Ivana together with Cicci, the oldest dog in the world , already a testimonial of the Festival in 2022. The same artist created airbrushed tributes to Federica Rinaudo together with her beloved cats, to Enzo Salvi with his parrots - symbol of a constant battle in defense of animals - and to Giucas Casella with his dog Nina, in recognition of her participation in the video “Salvami”, conceived by Ivana Tram and presented out of competition in 2022. The musical project has a specific and decidedly charitable destination: all proceeds from sales will be donated to national organizations committed to animal protection. The first beneficiary will be the Rifugio del Cane di Pistoia – ENPA, but the initiative will continue on a rotating basis to benefit other Italian associations and shelters, with the aim of multiplying the impact and supporting those who care for animals every day. Numerous guests from the entertainment world are expected to grace the Pet Carpet Film Festival catwalk, including Giucas Casella. Past editions have seen the presence of Manuela Arcuri, Garrison Rochelle, Andrea Roncato, Cinzia Leone, Sebastiano Somma, and Beppe Convertini, among others.
The event will be held under the patronage of the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate of the Republic, the State Police, the Carabinieri, the Italian Red Cross – Rome Metropolitan Area Committee, FNOVI – National Federation of Italian Veterinary Orders, and Anas SpA, with the support of sponsors PetStore Conad and Vitakraft Italia.
