Former US President Joe Biden completes radiation therapy for prostate cancer

Former US President Joe Biden completed his radiotherapy treatment for prostate cancer on October 20 , a disease he has been battling since 2023 .
After his final session, the 82-year-old former president rang a bell at Penn Medicine in Pennsylvania , as shown in a video posted on Instagram by his daughter Ashley Biden.

Ashley Biden thanked the doctors and nurses for the care provided to her father during treatment : “Thank you to all the doctors and nurses for taking care of my father during his radiation treatment ,” she said.
A spokesperson for the former president told ABC News that it is not yet clear whether Biden will need to continue any additional treatment.
Biden's prostate cancer was detected during a routine medical checkup . According to his medical team, it was a localized , slow-growing tumor. At the time, doctors indicated that the prognosis was favorable and that no signs of metastasis had been detected.
