Mexico City Judiciary ordered to resume full activities

Following a meeting between Mexico City authorities and representatives of workers in the Judiciary of Mexico City, an agreement was reached to fully resume operations in all jurisdictional, administrative, and support bodies, starting Monday , July 7.

Both parties held a roundtable discussion at the Mexico City Government Secretariat to negotiate requests for improved salaries, training, and working conditions.

For its part, the Mexico City Judiciary Council (CJ) issued agreement V-73/2025, ordering the full resumption of all activities at the times established by current regulations.

The above is to prioritize the well-being of children and adolescents, as well as to allow society access to justice services. He also instructed the heads of each area to resume the cases that were suspended.

The CJ clarified that workers maintain their right to exercise their freedom of expression and demonstration as long as this does not disrupt public order or impede the activities of the Judiciary.

Finally, Erika Ojeda , the representative of the PJCDMX workers who attended the meeting with city authorities, reported that as part of the agreements, they obtained the distribution of two bonuses; one of them will be received in December, and the second remains on a date yet to be determined. However, she emphasized that they did not receive the 10% salary increase they had requested.
