Full scale: The Government published how much the Armed Forces will be paid until November.

The Government officially announced a 7.5% salary increase for the Armed Forces and Naval Police, which will be phased in between June and November 2025. The measure was reflected in Joint Resolution 63/2025 of the Ministries of Defense and Economy, published Tuesday in the Official Gazette , and represents a continuation of the previous adjustment granted in April.
The increase applies to all military personnel of the Armed Forces (FFAA) and the Naval Establishments Police , who will see monthly increases in their salaries until they accumulate an annual increase of 20.5% by the end of November.
The government stated that " it is deemed appropriate to determine the new amounts corresponding to the 'Monthly Salary' for military personnel […] for the months of June, July, August, September, October, and November 2025." They also clarified that the funds will come from the Ministry of Defense's budget , without the need for additional reallocations.
The new rates reflect differences based on rank and will be updated monthly. For example, a Lieutenant General, Admiral, or Brigadier General will earn $2,647,231 in June, and $2,809,917 in November. Meanwhile, a Second-Class Volunteer or Second-Class Sailor will increase from $575,163 in June to $610,510 in November.
Among other notable cases:
- Brigadier General / Rear Admiral / Brigadier : $2,150,875 in June and $2,283,057 in November.
- Captain / Colonel / Commodore : $1,883,977 in June and $1,999,757 in November.
- Chief Warrant Officer : $1,323,613 in June and $1,404,956 in November.
- Assistant Sergeant / First Class Warrant Officer : $1,040,248 in June and $1,104,177 in November.
- Second Corporal / Corporal : $682,345 in June and $724,278 in November.
The phased scheme proposes a gradual restoration of the purchasing power of military personnel , amid a scenario where the government is keeping other sectors of the state with frozen or cut salaries.
The decision isn't just administrative: it has political weight . In a context of tension with unions and protests over budget cuts in other areas , the sustained increase for the forces can be interpreted as a sign of institutional support and a search for internal stability , especially given that the security and defense forces are key to the current ruling party's system of order.
With this increase, the government aims to guarantee better pay for military personnel , who had been demanding increases in line with inflation . The adjustment also seeks to prevent operational wear and tear and potential desertions that could lead to depreciated salaries.
