Deputy Minister Reacts to Kosiniak-Kamysz's Words: "Schizophrenic Situation"

Deputy Minister Reacts to Kosiniak-Kamysz's Words: "Schizophrenic Situation"

- What is the point of investing in security today? Investing billions of złoty in this situation, when billions will continue to flow mainly to Russia, which is playing Europe through fossil fuels - said Mikołaj Dorożała, Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, in the "Political Debate". In this way, he commented on Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz's entry on reducing CO2 emissions and investing in defense.

The new climate target proposed by the European Commission , which assumes limiting the reduction of greenhouse gases by 2040 to 90 percent compared to the 1990 level, has raised extreme opinions. Minister of Climate and Environment Paulina Hennig-Kloska, present in Wednesday's "Gość Wydarzeń", admitted that Poland will not support the assumption "presented in this way".

- For a simple reason - we are not ready for this and the European Commission knows it. In my opinion, there is generally no majority for this purpose - argued the head of the ministry.

Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz also spoke out on the matter, criticizing the idea in a post on social media. "The European Commission's proposal indicating a new target for reducing CO2 emissions by 90 percent by 2040 is, according to PSL, absurd . Europe must focus on defense, rebuilding industry and competitiveness , and not waste time setting unrealistic indicators," he wrote.

Deputy Minister responds to Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz's words. "What is the point of investing?"

Mikołaj Dorożała , Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, who was a guest at Wednesday's "Political Debate", does not agree with the position of the Minister of National Defense. - I do not know of a space that would be more dominated by populism , I often have the impression that it is really watered by Russian money - he pointed out.

The Polish 2050 politician recalled that in June, Poland managed to produce more energy from renewable energy sources than from coal . He argued that this was a very good signal and indicated that the policy of energy independence of European countries from Russia should be consistently implemented. He admitted that this is not possible without investment in renewable energy sources.

- What is the point of investing in security today? Investing billions of złoty in security, in the same situation, when billions will continue to flow mainly to Russia , which is playing Europe with fossil fuels. This is simply some kind of hara-kiri - said Mikołaj Dorożała.

"I wonder how long he will last." Politician of Poland 2050 on Kosiniak-Kamysz

The deputy minister pointed out that the circumstances in which Europe is trying to cut itself off from Russia while simultaneously buying fossil fuels from it are a "schizophrenic situation". We either have a solution that we will invest in renewable energy sources, we will reduce emissions and we will be able to build security in Europe, or we will spend money on one thing and we will pump money into Russia - he said.

- There are parties in Poland that may directly benefit from this title. Because you know how it works - it's the KGB, there are such stories. You come with a briefcase, which may seem absurd, but they know exactly who has what views today, and so Mr. (Grzegorz) Braun, well, what can I say, is such a useful tool for Kremlin propagandists - Dorożała argued.

Referring directly to the words of Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, he stated that he was observing his rhetoric and noticed its clear "turn to the right" . - I wonder how long he will last, stepping into the shoes of such an ultra-right-wing politician, somewhere in this rhetoric somewhere between PiS and Confederation. I hope that this is a certain period - said the deputy minister.
