Ewa Maciejewska: These competitions need to be repeated

Almost thirty years of experience as a judge have taught me that every problem should be viewed holistically, and focusing on details taken out of context never works. I read the arguments of Judge Eryk Dąbrowski ("Tygodnik Prawników" from February 12, 2025) about the causes and effects of the conflict in the judicial community as a very inept attempt to justify ex post why he decided to accept a promotion as many as twice at the request of an unconstitutional body. They are also deceptively similar to the arguments given by politicians since 2017 as an explanation for controversial changes.
