New List of Super Billionaires: The Leader Has Outclassed His Rivals

Super billionaires - an elite group of rich people whose wealth exceeds at least $50 billion. According to the latest report by the analytical company Altrata, there are 24 such people in the world. At the top of the list is Elon Musk.

The report, prepared by Altrat, was published by the Wall Street Journal. It shows that the 24 richest people have a combined net worth of $3.3 trillion . That's 16 percent of the total wealth of all billionaires in the world.

Altrata points out that this is a significant increase in the wealth of the richest individuals, as in 2014 their wealth constituted 4 percent of the fortune of all billionaires.

Altrat’s head of analytics notes that the trend highlights a growing divide not only between billionaires and those with average wealth, but also within the billionaire group. “While billionaires have long had significant wealth, we now see glaring disparities even among them,” Maya Imberg points out.

Elon Musk topped the super billionaire rankings. The owner of Tesla, SpaceX, and the X service has a net worth of $419.4 billion. Jeff Bezos is in second place. The Amazon founder has amassed $263.8 billion.

Third place belongs to Frenchman Bernard Arnault . He is the owner of the LVMH group, which is mainly engaged in the production of luxury goods, including clothing, alcohol and cosmetics. He has accumulated $ 238.9 billion.

Just behind the podium is another American. Larry Ellison has 237 billion dollars. He is the CEO of the software giant Oracle. Fifth place belongs to Mark Zuckerberg . The owner of Meta has amassed 220.8 billion dollars.

Next on the list is an American born in the USSR - Sergey Brin . The CEO of Alphabet - Google's parent company has a net worth of $160.5 billion. Next is Steve Ballmer , former CEO of Microsoft has a net worth of $157.4 billion.
