Finances will be the topic of the session. There will be a 96-bed nursery and funds from a grant project.

By voting "in favor," Jarosław councilors gave the green light to begin implementing the grant project entitled "Accessible Local Government 2.0." The city of Jarosław submitted its application in response to the ministerial call for proposals for accessibility-related projects. Therefore, a relevant city council resolution was required to sign the agreement, a template for which was submitted to the local government after the plenary session. This project, implemented by the Municipality of Jarosław, is a two-stage project. Among other things, local government employees will participate in free accessibility training, the municipality will benefit from individual counseling, and will receive a grant of PLN 300,000. This grant will finance activities that ensure the accessibility of services provided in the areas of education, culture, physical education and tourism, social assistance, public transport, etc., in particular by adapting to the abilities of people with special needs through the removal of architectural barriers, but also by digitally adapting customer service standards. Schools were the primary target, so Councilor Mariusz Walter inquired whether any had already been selected for this program. The response was that the local government plans to include Montessori Preschool No. 8 in this project. All councilors present at the session voted "yes."

This was due to the city qualifying for funding for the construction of a nursery in Jarosław, which will provide 96 places for children. The financial commitment incurred by the local government will be covered next year from funding obtained for this purpose from the Active Toddler Program 2022-2029. The first invoices will also be received then, once a construction contractor is selected. Mayor Marcin Nazarewicz announced that the nursery will be built near the Bohaterów Monte Cassino Park.
"It's precisely on a plot of land we received as a loan from the municipal company PGKiM. The facility will be built on the side facing Bandurskiego Street, while the administrative building will remain intact. The location seems appropriate due to the proximity of two large housing estates – Armii Krajowej and Witosa. On the other side, we also have the Skarbowskiego and Piłsudskiego estates, which are being expanded. The proximity of the park and parking lot also speaks for this location. Another advantage is the good transport links, with safe one-way traffic," he explained.
Councillors also introduced changes to the city's multi-annual financial forecast and the city budget for 2025, which were related to the plans to establish a nursery and the funding received for this investment.
Additionally, councilors approved PLN 250,000 for the necessary modernization and reconstruction of the chimney flues in the building at Słowackiego 11 in Jarosław, which is currently under compulsory administration. Robert Kisiel, director of the Municipal Management, Climate, and Environmental Protection Department, explained that such work is mandated by the District Building Inspector, from which...
