Potato festival in Leszno [PHOTOS]

The "Baked New Potato" picnic was organized on the second Saturday of August by the Leszno Development Association in cooperation with the Przemyśl County Office, LKS Fenix ​​Leszno, and the local library. It featured all the usual attractions typical of this type of celebration. Participants were invited to participate in workshops and culinary and handicraft competitions. Potato dishes and other delicious delicacies were served, and the event culminated in a communal feast around a bonfire. Sporting activities were also prepared for the youngest participants – they could compete in skill competitions, where the main prop was... a potato. What's more, everyone participating in this challenge could count on a small prize. The sporting excitement was complemented by a dose of knowledge about the history of the potato.

The aim of the event was to promote the Przemyśl district by cultivating the region's traditions, strengthening intergenerational ties and, above all, integration.
