Serious accident on A6. Collision between a truck and a police van

The section of the A6/S3 road between the Szczecin-Dąbie and Rzęśnica junctions is now passable – informed the officer on duty at the GDDKiA Road Information Point. The road towards Świnoujście was blocked for several hours after a collision of three vehicles.

On the A6/S3 road towards Świnoujście, three vehicles collided on Friday, one of which was an unmarked police car – the District Police Headquarters in Goleniów reported. The road towards Świnoujście was completely blocked for several hours.

The incident occurred between the Szczecin-Dąbie and Rzęśnica junctions.

"Three vehicles were involved in the collision, one of which was an unmarked police car," said Senior Constable Martyna Kowalska from the Goleniów Police Headquarters. "Initial findings indicate that the driver of the truck drove into the back of the police car, which, due to the force of the impact, ran over the vehicle in front of it," she reported.

Four emergency medical teams and LPR arrived at the scene. There were a total of five injured men aged 28 to 40.

"The most common injuries among the four patients included head, cervical spine and chest injuries. One of them, a 32-year-old, was transported to hospital in serious condition by air ambulance," said Natalia Dorochowicz, spokeswoman for the Provincial Emergency Medical Service in Szczecin.

"A 40-year-old patient, also in serious condition, was taken to hospital. Two more patients - men aged 36 and 28 - in stable condition, after performing the necessary medical rescue procedures were also taken to hospital. The last injured person - without visible injuries or ailments, remained at the scene of the incident, as he did not require hospitalization," she added.

As reported by GDDKiA, the road towards Świnoujście is already unblocked.

Four people were injured in an accident that occurred on Friday on the A6 motorway between the Szczecin Kijewo and Szczecin Rzęśnica junctions.

A truck collided with a police van there. The injured were three policemen and a person being escorted. They were transported by ambulances and an LPR helicopter to hospitals. The condition of two of them is described as serious.

Emergency services are on site. The motorway towards Świnoujście is blocked. Traffic jams have formed on the A6. The police have set up detours.
