On behalf of President A. Duda, the decoration was made by the Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Dera. The guests of the ceremony were welcomed by the Chief Director of the State Archives, Dr. Paweł Pietrzyk.
[middle1]– I am extremely pleased that the archival community has been appreciated on this beautiful occasion of the centenary of regaining independence. As the State Archives, we have undertaken many different initiatives to honor this special anniversary, including the Family Archives of the Independent project, which was very well received by the public.

– I am glad that we managed to organize this ceremony on June 9, on the International Archives Day. I am also glad that the representatives of new trends in archival science, such as the care of social archives and electronic documentation, have found recognition in the eyes of the president.
