Ana Batista takes action in Romania

Ana Batista, an athlete from Sporting Clube de Aveiro/mySugar, traveled to Romania this week, as part of the national junior and under/23 team, which will compete in the European Canoe Speed Championship, which takes place from today until Sunday, in Romania. The young canoeist from Aveiro is part of a delegation of 12 Portuguese athletes, who will compete in 12 events. Lara Lopes, Clara Duarte, Hugo Carvalho, Gonçalo Costa, Afonso Pereira, Tiago Maciel, António Ribeiro, Duarte Cerdeira, Rafael Oliveira, Bruno Brasileiro and Ricardo Gonçalves traveled to Bascov this Tuesday, under the technical leadership of João Tiago Lourenço and Leonel Correia.
For Ana Batista, this will be her 11th international appearance for Portugal, having worn the national colours since the cadets. And it was, curiously, on her debut for the Portuguese national team, in 2022, that she won the bronze medal in K1 1,000 metres under/16, at the “Olympic Hopes”, held in Slovakia.
