Coimbra: Neuropsychology research now has its own building

This is the research area of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra (FPCEUC) that stands to gain the most from the inauguration of a completely refurbished building at the University of Coimbra.
The moment was marked yesterday, revealing several rooms, laboratories and an auditorium, structures that were created in an area of two thousand square meters, after a major intervention that cost 2.5 million euros and whose project dates back to 2019.
It is a 98-year-old five-storey building, built on the slope of São Jerónimo, in Alta de Coimbra.
Up until today, over the decades, a laundry and the workshops of the old university hospital operated there, before being used, from the 1990s onwards, for teaching and research activities at the UC, in addition to a university canteen/restaurant on the lower floors.
Designated as Building II of FPCEUC, it now houses the Research Center for Neuropsychology and Cognitive-Behavioral Intervention (CINEICC).
