Coimbra: UC brings culture to life with a programme of over 50 events

The University of Coimbra (UC) has more than 50 events planned to celebrate culture.
The UC Cultural Week, which runs from 1 to 15 March, has poetry as its theme and will feature various cultural initiatives in more than 20 locations around the city. The initiative aims to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the death of King D. Dinis, the 500th anniversary of the birth of Luís de Camões and the 100th anniversary of the birth of Carlos Paredes.
The vice-rector of UC, Delfim Leão, revealed that the Cultural Week has “more than 40 partner entities”, aiming at a “broader” approach, promoting “interdisciplinary events”.
