Delivery of vehicles to the emergency protection and rescue unit

On July 25, the National Republican Guard delivered ten vehicles to the Emergency Protection and Relief Unit (UEPS), based in Guarda, acquired under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The handover ceremony was presided over by the Secretary of State for Civil Protection, Rui Rocha, and was attended by the Mayor of Guarda, Sérgio Costa, and the General Commander of the GNR, Lieutenant General Rui Alberto Ribeiro Veloso.

The vehicles are intended for commanding rural firefighting operations and significantly improve the working conditions of UEPS personnel and their operational response capacity.
