Jubilee Pilgrimages of Archpriests to the See of Guarda

The archpriesthoods of Sabugal / Almeida and Fundão/Penamacor promote the Jubilee Pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Guarda , during the month of May.

The Jubilee Pilgrimage of the Archpriesthood of Sabugal/Almeida is scheduled for this Sunday, May 11th. The program begins at 10:30 am, at Outeiro de São Miguel, with a welcome for pilgrims and a visit to the tomb of D. João de Oliveira Matos, with a moment of reflection with D. José Pereira, bishop of the Diocese of Guarda. From 3:00 pm, a Penitential Celebration will take place at the Church of Misericórdia, followed by the pilgrimage to the Cathedral at 3:30 pm, where the celebration of Mass will take place, presided over by the Bishop of Guarda.

The Fundão/Penamacor archpriesthood will be in Guarda on 25 May to experience the Year of Hope Pilgrimage. The programme begins at 3pm with a welcome and penitential celebration at the Church of Misericórdia. The programme also includes the procession to the Cathedral (4pm) and the jubilee celebration (4.30pm).
