Montenegro maintains full confidence in the Minister of Health.

The Prime Minister admitted this Friday that he felt uncomfortable with the recent cases of births in ambulances, but stressed that he maintains full confidence in the Minister of Health.
"Of course, it bothers me a lot that there are births in ambulances or even on public roads, but I have already requested it and I am waiting to conduct this survey in a systematic way so that we can understand why this happens," Luís Montenegro.
Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to the Beneficente Portuguesa do Pará hospital in Brazil, and when asked if he maintained political confidence in the Minister of Health, Ana Paula Martins, he replied: “Absolutely, absolutely, in the Minister of Health and in all members of the Government. There is no member of the Government who can be in the Government without having my complete confidence.”
On the same occasion, the head of government also stated that he hoped the preliminary investigation into the Spinumviva case would "happen as quickly as possible".
"All I can wish for is that this happens as quickly as possible. I've always wanted this from the very beginning, and so I'm calm and will await that moment," he stated.
Previously, the Attorney General expressed confidence that the preliminary investigation into Luís Montenegro could be completed before Christmas.
In March, Amadeu Guerra announced that the Public Prosecutor's Office had opened a preliminary investigation based on three complaints, which is still ongoing, to assess whether there are grounds to proceed with opening a formal inquiry.
