According to the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand, there are no special methods of extreme forecasting in meteorology. Therefore, the information that the summer of 2025 will be the hottest in history does not correspond to reality.

"There are media reports about an unusually hot, hottest summer in Russia. In principle, there are no methods for predicting extreme weather in the summer. The hottest or the coldest is beyond modern scientific knowledge," the expert emphasized in a conversation with TASS.

If someone starts insisting that the summer of 2025 will be the hottest, Vilfand advises asking the speaker where he got this forecast method from and where exactly you can get acquainted with it.

As KP.RU wrote earlier, the forecaster of the Phobos center Evgeny Tishkovets refuted the statement about the incredibly hot summer of 2025. The expert claims that the upcoming summer, namely on the Russian Plain, according to his forecast, will be only one or two degrees warmer than normal.
