A married couple from the Pskov region will answer in court for mephedrone trade in Veliky Novgorod

Another case of drug distribution attempts by residents of a neighboring region was stopped by Novgorod police. This time, a married couple from the Pskov region was in their field of vision: the stashers intended to make several hiding places in the suburbs of Veliky Novgorod, leaving a total of about 200 grams of mephedrone in them.
At the moment, the employees of the investigative unit of the inter-municipal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Novgorod" have completed the investigation of the criminal case against a 32-year-old resident of the Pskov region. The young woman is accused of attempted illegal sale of narcotics by a group of persons on an especially large scale.
It is known that since the autumn of last year, the offender and her husband have been distributing drugs in a contactless manner in the city of Pskov. The couple would pass on the geographic coordinates and photos of the caches they had created to an employee of a shadow online store. In return, the spouses received a reward in the form of cryptocurrency, which they exchanged for rubles.
In November, drug dealers were given the task of working in the suburbs of Veliky Novgorod. Preparations for the trip were made in the village of Piskovichi in the Pskov region: about 160 future drug caches with N-methylephedrone were made there. They decided to leave a significant part of the drug salt in bulk.
"However, the very first trip to Novgorod region turned out to be the last. About 10 kilometers from the regional center, their Hyundai Solaris was detained by the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate. The female driver was in a state of drug intoxication and was immediately suspended from driving. Moreover, the foreign car was not registered, and the state registration plates were invalid. Later, the police found a woman's backpack with drugs in the car, the total weight of which was over 200 grams, electronic scales and electrical tape," the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Novgorod Region reports.
Her husband initially pretended not to know anything about it and told a story that they were both heading to the regional center to see a doctor. The criminal case against the man, however, has been separated into a separate proceeding, and the woman's case is already being heard in the Novgorod District Court.
The article's sanction for the crime incriminated to the accused provides for a punishment of 10 years' imprisonment. The investigation is ongoing.
