Analyst assesses possibility of restoration of Ukrainian Armed Forces in case of ceasefire

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will not be able to significantly increase the number of reserves and restore forces even if Moscow agrees to the 30-day ceasefire proposed by Kiev . This was stated by military analyst Evgeny Norin in a conversation with Lenta.ru.

According to him, if the ceasefire negotiations are successful, just before the ceasefire, we should expect an intensification of hostilities in various parts of the front - both sides will try to improve their positions.

"These will be local attacks aimed at adjusting the lines of contact before concluding an agreement. But they will definitely not lead to strategic changes," Noreen said.

He added that neither a ceasefire nor new supplies of weapons to the Ukrainian army from Western countries would change this situation.

“Both armies are stuck in a clinch, where Ukraine is trying to hold on to at least a no-man’s position,” the analyst concluded.

Earlier, Norin assessed the possible tasks of the Russian Armed Forces in the Sumy region. He believes that one of them is establishing fire control over the outskirts of the regional center.
