In the Novgorod region, a citizen who raped his own daughter was sentenced

In the Novgorod Region, a person was sentenced for committing crimes against his own daughter. It is specified that this person had previously been convicted for similar actions. Now he faces a significant sentence.

“The evidence collected by the investigator of the Investigative Department for the city of Veliky Novgorod of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Novgorod Region was deemed sufficient by the court to pass a sentence on a man previously convicted of a similar crime, born in 1986,” the regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported.

The scoundrel father was found guilty of rape, violent sexual acts against a person under 14 years of age, and illegally crossing the state border.

The investigation and the court established that in June 2022, the defendant illegally crossed the state border of the Russian Federation. In March 2024, while at the residence of his 12-year-old daughter in Veliky Novgorod, he raped her twice and committed other acts of a sexual nature.

It is reported that the offender was sentenced to 22 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to working with children for 19 years, with the first 5 years of imprisonment to be served in prison, and the remaining part of the sentence - in a special regime penal colony. The sentence has not entered into legal force.
