It has become known what will happen to the tanks and aircraft of the Russian Armed Forces after Putin's words

Russia will not dispose of mothballed military equipment such as tanks, submarines and aircraft, military expert Anatoly Matviychuk told NEWS.ru. He noted that under the new defense architecture proposed by President Vladimir Putin, the issue of disposal is not on the agenda.
Most likely, Russia will not dispose of tanks, submarines and aircraft. There is a treaty on the limitation of conventional weapons, by the way, the Americans do not comply with it either. I believe that Putin is talking not only about the new architecture from the point of view of nuclear safety, but also about the general defense sufficiency of countries with a developed defense industry , - Matviychuk explained.
He added that Russia had already had experience in disposing of military equipment after the end of the Cold War. According to the military expert, in the long run this turned out to be a big mistake.
I don't think that Russia will start to dispose of military equipment from warehouses. We already went through this in the early 2000s, when we began to dispose of equipment after the Cold War, and when the Central Military District began, we grabbed our heads - we needed shells and equipment. We de-mothballed it and this helped us out , - Matviychuk summed up.
Earlier, State Duma deputy Viktor Kolesnik said that Russia does not intend to give up nuclear weapons , even if it requires cutting military spending. According to him, the presence of a nuclear arsenal remains a key element of the deterrence strategy.
