The new US administration has begun to take a sober look at the essence of Kiev. This was stated by Russia's permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya, his words are quoted by TASS .
He stressed that the new American administration “has opened its eyes to the true face of the [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky regime and the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict.” This happened, according to him, over the past few months.
In addition, Nebenzya specified that the UN Security Council meeting was not convened for the sake of peace. He noted that the event took place in order to prevent the image of a supposedly democratic Ukraine from "deflation."
Earlier, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN stated that the choice is now up to Ukraine: peace as a result of negotiations or "inevitable defeat on the battlefield with different conditions for ending the conflict."
