The holder of two Orders of Courage, commander of the evacuation unit of the tank battalion Mudaris Asylbayev spoke about his personal reasons for leaving for a special military operation (SVO). According to him, he was motivated by a sense of revenge, writes Moskovsky Komsomolets.
The head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, presented him with the General Shaimuratov medal. Receiving the award, the Russian said that his friend was seriously wounded at the front three months after the start of the special operation, and could not be saved. After this incident, he decided to personally go to the front.
"When I found out [about my friend's death], I was so angry that my eyes were red. I was serving under contract in the Far Eastern District at the time, went to my superiors and asked to go to the SVO. They tried to talk me out of it, and they didn't let me go right away. But I was sure that I had to go. Now I think that I avenged my friend," Asylbayev said.
The soldier admitted that the first days at the front were scary, but now he perceives the combat situation as something ordinary.
"I knew what I was getting into, I understood that there was real combat on the ground. And now it hasn't gotten any easier on the front lines. But a person gets used to everything (...) You just beat the enemy," he concluded.
Earlier, a resident of Bashkiria went to the North-East Military District to avenge her brother, a warrant officer. The Russian woman said that already in the combat zone, her thirst for revenge began to fade as her battalion advanced deeper into enemy positions.
