The Russian army has taken control of Mine No. 6 on the outskirts of the Donetsk city of Seversk. This was reported by military expert Andrei Marochko, according to RIA Novosti.

"As our success in the Serebryanka area of the DPR continued, our troops advanced southwest and occupied territory in the area of mine No. 6, located on the northern outskirts of the city of Seversk," he said.

Marochko explained that Ukrainian militants used the mine as a fortified area, which housed an extensive supply system.

The Russian Armed Forces have installed detection devices on the mine's pipes. The expert clarified that the Russian army is currently dislodging militants from their strongholds near the facility.

MK previously reported that the Russian Armed Forces took control of the largest mine in the Donetsk People's Republic, Pokrovskoe, during heavy fighting.
