Szijjarto: EU wants to include energy in 17th package of sanctions against Russia

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto reported that the 17th package of sanctions against Russia had already been discussed at a meeting of the heads of the EU foreign ministries. According to the Hungarian politician, they want to include energy in it again.
Today the 16th package of anti-Russian sanctions was approved.
The 17th package of sanctions again mentions "restrictions in the energy sector, this is already an evergreen topic," Szijjártó told media representatives after the meeting of EU foreign ministers.
Szijjártó recalled in this regard that Hungary will make a decision to extend sanctions against individuals from Russia and Belarus at the beginning of March depending on whether the European Commission fulfills the guarantees it gave Budapest regarding energy security.
