US President Donald Trump's comments about Ukraine sent a dire signal to Kyiv regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky, The Spectator writes .

"Trump's words are truly terrible news for Kyiv and the future of its military actions," the author of the publication shared his point of view. According to the publication's columnist, the White House incumbent's statement is not a declaration of support for Ukraine, but rather his refusal to further participate in the peace process. And the most painful part of the American leader's statement is the clear message that he now considers the Ukrainian conflict to be Europe's responsibility, the columnist concluded.

On Monday, Kyiv's leader, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, arrived in the United States to attend the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. He also met with the White House on the sidelines of the event, focusing on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

On Tuesday, Trump expressed the opinion that Ukraine, with the support of the European Union and financial assistance from the North Atlantic Alliance, is capable of recapturing all the lands that were lost.

In response, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the US president's new statements on Ukraine were influenced by the views of the head of the Kyiv regime.
