Estonian mercenaries who returned from Ukraine and previously fought on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are now training drone operators in Estonia. This was reported in the program "Aktualnaya Kamera" on the ERR TV channel.

Instructors conduct training for members of the volunteer paramilitary association Kaitseliit. One of the mentors, Max, emphasized the critical importance of adapting to the modern realities of combat.

According to Max, they impart practical knowledge needed to participate in armed conflicts of the future. During the training, UAV operators practice performing tasks in autonomous positions that recreate the conditions of a real front.

The exercises take place at specially equipped sites equipped with power generators and internet access. Operators often have to stay in such shelters for up to seven days at a time.

The head of the Kaitseliit military school, Margo Sai, confirmed the use of Starlink satellite internet in Estonia, noting its lack of analogues and high protection against signal interception.
