Car crashes into pole and flies into garden: 1 dead, 3 injured

A terrible traffic accident occurred on the morning of June 5, 2025, in the Çaydeğirmeni town of Devrek district of Zonguldak. The car with the registration number 74 ABR 939, driven by Sezgin B. (25), went out of control when the driver lost control of the steering wheel while driving in the direction of Zonguldak. The vehicle first hit an electric pole on the side of the road and then skidded into the garden of a house.

Zehra Yılmaz Lost Her Life In the accident, Zehra Yılmaz (50), who was a passenger in the car, lost her life at the scene. The driver of the car, Sezgin B., and the other passengers, Mürüvvet Ö. (42) and 9-year-old Yunus Emre B., were injured. Health, police and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene after the people in the area notified the 112 Emergency Call Center. After the health teams provided first aid to the injured at the scene, they were taken to Devrek State Hospital. Zehra Yılmaz's body was sent to the morgue of the same hospital for autopsy.

Investigation Launched Police and gendarmerie teams, who examined the scene after the accident, launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Although initial findings indicate that the driver lost control of the steering wheel, the exact cause will be clarified after a detailed examination. The car was removed from the scene with the help of a tow truck.
