Education festival in Kağıthane: High schools met for promotion

The festival featured stage shows, sports activities, art exhibitions and interactive promotional stands where students could showcase their academic and social aspects. Each school had the opportunity to communicate directly with students and parents by introducing the opportunities it offered. Parents attended guidance sessions on "High School Selection and Future Planning" with expert educators and received information on making the right high school choice for their children.

Kağıthane Mayor Mevlüt Öztekin emphasized in his speech at the event that choosing the right high school is one of the most important turning points in a young person's life.

Mayor Öztekin said, "One of the most critical steps that shape the future of our youth is choosing the right high school. Because a young person's discovery of their talents, focusing on their interests and ultimately choosing the most suitable profession for themselves is possible with the solid foundations laid in high school years. As Kağıthane Municipality, we have organized this festival with this awareness in mind in order to bring together the educational opportunities, success stories and differentiating aspects of the high schools in our district with our parents and students. Our aim is to ensure that our youth make a talent-focused choice, not an exam-focused one." Mayor Öztekin also gave an important message to families with the words, "The important thing is not to choose the school with the highest score, but to choose the right school."

The event included many activities under various titles, including folk dances, taekwondo shows, stage performances, sports competitions, mini competitions, visual arts exhibitions, student work themed "Writers of the Future" and social responsibility projects. While students were highly acclaimed for their projects and performances, parents also had the opportunity to get to know the schools in the district more closely.

Kağıthane High Schools Promotion Festival provided a platform where young people could express themselves and was considered an important step towards equal opportunities and correct guidance in education.
