First export of Turksat 6A satellite was realized

Minister Uraloğlu, in his written statement, made an assessment regarding the first export made via Türksat 6A within the scope of CABSAT 2025 Fair held in Dubai. Drawing attention to the point Türksat has reached in the field of satellite services, Uraloğlu reported that capacity sales were made to Western and Southern Asia via Türksat 6A, Türkiye’s first self-developed communication satellite, with the agreements made in Dubai. Uraloğlu stated that the agreement signed with a Dubai-based company was a historic step in terms of both technical capability and commercial success, and said, "Türksat satellites provide service in a very wide geography from Western Europe to India, from Central Asia to South Africa. We had previously provided service to many international companies with our other satellites and carried out exports in the field of satellite communication. Today, with Türksat 6A, a product of Turkish engineering, we have exported satellite capacity for the first time to the geographies that are our farthest coverage in the east. With this sale, Türksat started to provide direct service to the South Asian market, which includes countries such as India, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. This is not only a capacity sale; it is also the certification of Türkiye's technological dominance in space."

'TURKSAT IS NOW A GLOBAL PLAYER'

Uraloğlu also touched upon the strategic contributions of the sale, emphasizing that Türksat has become a strong satellite operator not only for Turkey but also for regional countries and global markets. Noting that the agreement will ensure the integration of Türksat 6A into the international market while also increasing Türkiye's satellite service revenue, Uraloğlu said, "Türksat, which can now reach 5 billion people within the coverage area of ​​our satellites, provides much stronger services in satellite technologies. Türksat can reach 65 percent of the world with its satellite fleet, including Türksat 6A, which is a product of 100 percent Turkish engineering. Türksat, which has made a name for itself all over the world, has now become one of Türkiye's international brands as a global player. With the exports made, Türksat has become an operator operating in the South Asian market, which it could not actively enter before."
