Turkey's most qualified aviation high school to be established in Ankara

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, in his speech here, said that Turkey overcame its ill fortune in aviation with the strong will and vision of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Kacır, who stated that Turkey is now a country that has left its mark on the skies, said that Turkey has become the world leader in armed unmanned aerial vehicles with Bayraktar, AKINCI, KIZILELMA, ANKA and AKSUNGUR , and that it is a country that can produce its own jet training aircraft and helicopter, as well as the fifth-generation fighter jet KAAN.
Kacır underlined that they have the ability to produce all the parts in the body of a passenger plane and said, "Our companies, which reinforce their role in the manufacturing and supply chains of global aviation giants every passing day, reached an export volume of 1 billion dollars and a contract size of 10 billion dollars in aviation structures last year, and contributed to our defense and aviation exports exceeding 7 billion dollars. It is a source of pride for us to see the traces and contributions of Turkish engineers and technicians in the vast majority of passenger planes that enable us to travel safely to all corners of the world."
"Our priority is to transfer our knowledge to the space industry"Kacır stated that Turkey has made great progress in recent years in the production of aircraft engines, which is among the most difficult technologies in the world, and continued his words as follows:
"We have a global production and technology development capacity with over 5 thousand qualified human resources working in different rings of the value chain from aircraft engine production to maintenance, from innovative technology development to testing and calibration. Today, Kale Aviation produces the turbojet engines used in our missile systems such as SOM, ATMACA and ÇAKIR. The TS1400 turboshaft engine developed by TEİ for helicopters has successfully completed its first flight tests. GÖKBEY flew with our domestic engine. The PD170 turbodiesel engine developed for UAVs has reached the mass production stage at the end of calibration and testing activities. We have developed the prototype of our turbofan engine TF6000, which will be integrated into our platforms such as KAAN and KIZILELMA . We have achieved these successes thanks to flawless teamwork. The truth that no one can deny anymore is this: Turkey is the shining star of Europe in defense and aviation. Turkey is the most ideal stakeholder and technology partner for Europe, which wants to accelerate in the high-tech race. Our priority is to transfer the knowledge and experience we have gained in the aviation industry to the space industry, which is a field at least as challenging as aviation."
"We will increase our share of the space economy"Kacır explained that they will develop a national solution for regional positioning and timing systems that provide communication infrastructure in many critical areas, and made the following assessments:
"We will implement the spaceport project that will be the guarantee of our independence within the scope of our country's space studies. We will increase our share of the global space economy, which is expected to reach 1.8 trillion dollars by 2035. Turkey is now charting its own course in the sky and putting its own stamp on aviation history. Aviation is a sector whose rules and procedures are written in blood by nature. Uncompromising rules established as a result of every bitter experience have also brought new safety standards. Thus, the zero-error principle adopted in line with the principles of quality and standardization has become an important shield that ensures the safety of every flight."
Kacır stated that SAHA MİHENK is a member of the European Region of the International Aviation Quality Group, which plays a role in shaping international standards with its understanding of safety and operational excellence, and said that thanks to this, they have taken their place at the table as an actor who not only complies with the rules, but also has a say in determining the rules of the sector.
"We paved the way for an investment of $4.5 billion"Congratulating SAHA Istanbul for its contributions to the aviation sector, Kacır stated that as the Ministry, they will continue to support and patronize every step that will increase the competitiveness of the aviation and space industry and nurture qualified human resources.
Kacır said that they have fostered the passion for aviation in the dreams and hearts of millions of young people with the education and entrepreneurial support programs they have offered through the 10 TEKNOFESTs they have organized so far.
Pointing to the developments in Turkey's aviation and space industry, Kacır noted:
"Since 2012, we have paved the way for $4.5 billion worth of investment with the 157 investment incentive certificates we have issued in the aviation and space sector. 387 companies and 20 R&D centers operating in the aviation and space field benefit from comprehensive R&D incentives. With the phased commissioning of the TEKNOHAB Technology Development Zone, our Ankara Space and Aviation Specialized Organized Industrial Zone will have a much different appearance. We want to establish Turkey's most qualified aviation high school here, and may this project, which we will implement as a science and vocational technical Anatolian high school, be auspicious for Ankara in advance."
