In Australia and New Zealand, Father's Day is the first Sunday in September. In Thailand, it is celebrated on December 5, the birthday of the country's king. Brazilian fathers are honored on the second Sunday in August.

Catholics, on the other hand, celebrate a different date, Father's Day. They consider this celebration from a religious perspective and dedicate the 19th of March to their fathers under the name of St. Joseph Day, in memory of the father of the Christian prophet Jesus.

In some countries, these celebrations have gone beyond their religious characteristics.
