Now there is a forest fire in Ankara

A fire broke out in the Eymir Forest in Ankara's Gölbaşı district. The cause of the blaze, which began around noon, is not yet known.

The fire is advancing toward the METU forest and the nearby animal shelter. According to eyewitnesses, the dense smoke was clearly visible from the area.

FIRE TEAMS DISPATCHED The fire's origin is reportedly very close to the shelter. Numerous fire trucks are being dispatched to the area. The fire, which broke out near Lake Eymir, is threatening the surrounding METU forest and animal shelter.
