Partnership dispute in Ramsey goes to court

The stock crisis between Ramsey and Kip's majority shareholder, Remzi Gür, known as a close friend of President Tayyip Erdoğan, and the family of his deceased partners, Hüseyin Doğan and Hasan Doğan, has been brought to court. Doğan's family has filed 11 lawsuits, claiming they have been denied their rights.
'WE WERE INSULTED'
Remzi Gür, who provided scholarships for Tayyip Erdoğan's daughters to study abroad, was a close friend of the Erdoğan family. So much so that Erdoğan spent his summer vacation at Gür's villa and even swam in the pool together. During Erdoğan's tenure as prime minister, the relationship between the two figures was frequently reported. The partnership between the Gür and Doğan families was considered a model partnership in the business world. However, it appears this relationship suffered after Hüseyin Doğan's death.

Following Hüseyin Doğan's death, his shares in the group passed to his wife, Fatma Nursel Doğan, and their daughters, Beyza Burnaz, Esma Doğan, Şeyma Doğan, and Kübra Doğan Erkoç. However, according to journalist Necla Dalan, Doğan's family filed a lawsuit against him, claiming they were unable to obtain their rights. Doğan's daughters, Esma Doğan and Beyza Burnaz, explained that they tried to resolve the issue within the family but were forced to resort to legal action. The two siblings said, "We were ostracized and insulted for standing up for our father's legacy. We were left financially alone, and our rights were violated."
Yasemin Gür Solmaz, who took over the group's chairmanship from her father, Remzi Gür, said, "I don't want to get into a polemic. I wish it weren't like this."
Doğan's daughters stated that they were left financially and emotionally alone after their father's death in 2016. Speaking to Necla Dalan, the girls said, "Just a few years after our father's death, our shares in one of our group companies were taken from us without compensation. We were protected by a fiduciary duty, but they even deny this in the lawsuits. Five of us women were left out." Esma Doğan, one of Doğan's daughters, said that Remzi Gür showed no respect even when he was paying off his father's debt. One day, he pulled a wad of cash from his drawer and threw it at me.
Tayyip Erdoğan and his family were in full attendance at the funeral of Hüseyin Doğan, who died in 2016. Erdoğan stood in a row with Remzi Gür, and Erdoğan even personally carried the coffin. Remzi Gür's son, Ömer Gür, is married to Ali Babacan's sister-in-law, Didem Yurter. Bülent Arınç, Tayyip Erdoğan, Abdullah Gül, and Ali Babacan served as witnesses for the couple, who married in 2005.
