Record at Istanbul Airport

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced in a written statement that Turkish airspace and Istanbul Airport have achieved historic success in aviation.

Uraloğlu stated that 1,756 transit flights were served in Turkish airspace on July 24th, adding, "With this number, the highest number of transit flights of all time was reached in Turkish airspace." Uraloğlu also noted that Istanbul Airport broke new ground in its history with the passenger numbers recorded yesterday, adding, "With 271,836 passenger movements at Istanbul Airport on July 25th, our airport reached its highest daily passenger numbers of all time."
