Training from the Capital Markets Board to the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command

According to a statement by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command, CMB administrators informed 400 gendarmerie personnel about financial literacy and budget management, credit and borrowing, investment, and investment instruments as part of financial literacy training.
The training covered the components of financial literacy—financial knowledge, financial attitudes, and financial behavior—with detailed examples. The training emphasized the importance of distinguishing between wants and needs in budget management, and also covered the benefits of budgeting. The training emphasized the role of financial planning as a roadmap for achieving medium- and long-term goals. It also explained that using credit cards responsibly can provide financial flexibility, while uncontrolled use can lead to financial problems. The training also addressed the importance of risk, maturity, and diversification in investing, and detailed information was provided on the private pension system and capital market instruments.
'REAL ESTATE CERTIFICATE IS A NEW ALTERNATIVE'The training explained that the real estate certificate was presented as a new alternative to investors, and its features such as being accessible, transparent, liquid, secure, and protected against inflation were also emphasized.
In his speech, Gendarmerie General Command Financial Services Director Brigadier General Ümit Kızılca stated that they received valuable feedback from their units as part of the training conducted in coordination with the Capital Markets Board (SPK).
Kızılca stated that the positive awareness emerging among gendarmerie personnel has motivated them. He noted that numerous training programs have been provided to date, most recently an in-person training seminar held at the Antalya Provincial Gendarmerie Command. Brigadier General Ümit Kızılca added that the desire to make easy money and quickly increase one's income can lead individuals to make poor decisions.
