AK Party Deputy Chairman Ala's reaction to CHP Chairman Özel
In a post on his social media account, Ala reacted to CHP Chairman Özel's statements in the press release.
Pointing out that the tone used by Özel was a clear disrespect to the will of the nation and democracy, Ala said, "Democracy cannot be defended nor politics can be done with personal ambitions, slogans and threatening language."
"The President of this country was elected by the direct votes of the nation and is the leader and chief architect of the respect that Türkiye has gained at the global level," said Efkan Ala, noting the following:
"We invite Özel to act like a responsible main opposition leader, produce solutions and focus on the nation's issues. Threatening rhetoric towards our President is nothing more than an expression of political exhaustion. Politics only gains meaning with democratic maturity. We draw strength from our nation, not from polemics."
