London Morning's associate producer, Ryan Soulliere, listens to a lot of music for his role picking tunes for the show. In any given week, that's about 25 songs. Here are his top three local and Canadian picks from last week.

London Comic Con is on this weekend and to mark the event London Morning played Wolf Saga's version of Heroes. Tackling an iconic artist like David Bowie is daunting, although quite a few have taken a stab at the hit. Wolf Saga pulls off this cover with finesse, putting his own stamp on the fan-favourite while keeping the essence of the original version. Wolf Saga's rendition of Heroes is a chill tune, great for many occasions like getting your day started or your costume ready for Comic Con.

Ron Sexsmith's latest album Hangover Terrace is out now and that's where you'll find the jaunty song Rose Town. Complete with piano, jangly guitars and Sexmith's unmistakable voice, Rose Town is a nice upbeat jam suited for a variety of playlists. When it's time to transition from waking up to diving into the weekend, put on Rose Town.

Daniel Caesar has been trickling out a new single each month since June, and the latest one, Call On Me, hovers into rock and roll with some distorted guitar. In fact, the intro to Call On Me might give the impression we're about to hear a Lenny Kravitz tune but, alas, it's Daniel Caesar with his incredibly smooth and soulful vocals. Call On Me is a slow to mid-tempo song that should help you ease into your weekend chores.
