US star Bethenny Frankel had delivered her own verdict on why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's business endeavours in the US have flopped. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex branched out into various business ventures since departing the Royal Family and moving to the US in 2020.

Harry and Meghan signed deals with Netflix and Spotify, the latter of which dropped them, while the former announced a new, watered-down deal just this week, while the Duke released a bombshell memoir and the Duchess released her own brand and went into podcasting. But Ms Frankel said most of their projects have been flopping because they rushed to do too many of them at once.

The former Real Housewives of New York City and founder of Skinnygirl said it's "hard for things to land" for Harry and Meghan after they chose to live an "expensive lifestyle" in Montecito, California.

She told US Weekly after being named the outlet’s Entrepreneur of the Year: "I think the truth is, like Meghan [Markle] and [Prince] Harry [for example], I bet they’re good, decent people.

"They didn’t want the fame, but they didn’t want to give up the lifestyle, because it’s expensive.

"Now they’re living in Montecito [California], and it’s hard for things to land."

She then went on to say that the Sussex couple rushed to make "all these different deals" which flopped because "business is really hard".

She explained: "It’s hard to land all of those things, and they wanted to do it in a timely manner because they realised there was a certain window of opportunity, so they made all these different deals. And business is really hard.

"I respect that relationship and that loyalty to each other, and I just don’t think it’s that easy. If it was so easy, everybody would be good at doing it. "

It comes as the Sussex couple announced they are "extending" their "partnership with Netflix through their media company Archewell Productions with a new "multi-year first look" deal.
