Hamas releases propaganda video showing Colombian-Israeli hostage Elkana Bohbot alive

Hamas releases propaganda video showing Colombian-Israeli hostage Elkana Bohbot alive
The Islamist group Hamas released a propaganda video on Saturday showing the Israeli hostages, including Colombian Elkana Bohbot and Yosef-Haim Ohana, alive , just hours before the weekly protest by the families of the hostages begins in Tel Aviv demanding their release.
In the video, which follows the pattern of similar recordings released by the group during the Gaza war, Ohana calls for an end to the fighting and accuses Benjamin Netanyahu's government of "having blood on its hands."

Bohbot appears lying next to Ohana, appearing very weak and, according to Ohana, having tried to hurt himself several times.
In the video, the hostage comments on recent news, such as the letter signed by hundreds of Israeli Air Force reservists and former reservists calling for an end to the war, or comments by Netanyahu's wife, Sara, suggesting there are fewer than 24 hostages left alive, which appears to have been recorded in recent weeks.
The Israeli military estimates that at least 24 of the 59 hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip could still be alive , although US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that only 21 remain.

The weekly protest organized by the Forum of Families of Hostages and Missing Persons is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. local time (5:00 p.m. GMT) in Tel Aviv. Several relatives of hostages and the partner of a reservist soldier will be present.
