Strange disease kills groom after delivering wedding invitations

Robyn Parry, 36, and her fiancée Bryony were planning their wedding for August 21. In March, the couple had distributed invitations to celebrate the special occasion with their loved ones. However, a tragic event disrupted their plans: a few days later, Robyn fell seriously ill and died on March 17, The Sun reported.
Despite facing difficulties, Robyn decided to dedicate her life to serving others. In 2018, she completed her nursing training and spent seven years working at Ysbyty Gwynedd and Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospitals, focusing on hematology and oncology.

The announcement of his death had a profound impact on his loved ones and friends. Glyn Owen, who was one of the best men at the wedding, mentioned that several people received the invitation just as they learned the tragic news. “I thought he was contacting me about the bachelor party… finding out he had passed away was heartbreaking,” he revealed.
What was the strange disease he suffered from?Robyn suffered from Diamond-Blackfan anemia (DBA) , a rare genetic condition that prevents the bone marrow from producing adequate red blood cells. This condition affects only approximately 125 individuals across the UK and can cause severe anemia and serious, life-threatening complications. There is currently no cure for the condition, and treatment consists of blood transfusions, steroids, and, in some cases, stem cell transplants.
A tribute after what happenedInstead of the wedding, Glyn and fellow best man Ben Brame are planning a nine-day walk along the 130-kilometer Anglesey Coastal Path to remember Robyn, who was a passionate adventurer. This event will take place during the week of the wedding and aims to bring together friends and family to honor his memory. It will also raise money for DBAS UK, an organization that supports individuals with this rare disease.
Throughout the route, attendees will have the opportunity to participate by walking, swimming, hosting barbecues, or simply enjoying a beer together. Some plan to dress up as superheroes, in homage to Robyn's love of comics, which kept her company during her extended periods in the hospital.
